Did you ever wonder why
Chrysler even bothers making
these postage-stamp-size rear floor mats?

The photo above shows my size 13 shoes
perched (partially) on one of the stock rear mats.

To rectify this situation, I bought two
new sets of front floor mats and trimmed
the passenger side mats slightly to fit
within the front seat tracks.

Here are two photos of my mundane mod showing the
much improved coverage area compared to the stock rear mat:

I cut notches with a pair of tin snips so
the mats would fit between the front seat tracks.

Here is a photo showing one of the mats in place:

I bought two sets because the driver's side front mat has the anchor grommet.
Now I have two spare driver's mats to put into service as that mat shows wear.

A set of front mats is $35, or $70 for two sets.
I'm a member of the Chrysler 300M Enthusiasts Club
and my dealer joined the Club's discount program,
so I got 10% off, and both sets of mats only cost me $63.

That $7 savings gets me back half my cost of membership already,
and I haven't even gone in for my 15,000 mile service yet!
